As before with the Series A, the Opel Commodore B was closely based upon the Rekord D, featuring an all-six-cylinder engine line-up. From launch, four models were offered: 2500S, 2500GS, 2800GS and 2800GS/E, in both four-door saloon and two-door coupé forms. Power outputs range between 115-160bhp. During its life the engine range was tweaked.

C128 froze & won't boot anymore. Hey guys! Recently bought a „new" C128 and was testing out some of my 1571 and 1541 disk drives. While running a BTX demo floppy for testing (was running totally fine for like 30-40 mins) the third and final disk drive, my C128 suddenly froze and didn't accept any inputs anymore.

Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) Stunning Opel Commodore 2.5 GS (upgraded to GS/E specification) Introduced in 1972 the Opel Commodore 'B' was a replacement for the the now ageing Commodore 'A' which was build from 1967-72. The Commodore B was offered in two body types, the 4 door saloon and the sportier more rakishly designed 2 door Coupe.

I have called the American 256K model "B-520" because it would have come out when they were making the B-500, before they renamed the B-500 as B128-80. It was likely put together in the Commodore labs around when the first B-500's were coming out. Only a few B-500's were sold before the name was changed in the US to B-128.

This is potential due to Commodore proceeding moreover with distributor of these our with Europe than in North Asia (U.S. and Canada) whereby and US fire sale dump of the B128-80s made them the most common to find. While the first fires sales in an U.S. were during 1986 for CBM 128-80s and CBM 256-80s, these represented a limited production run.

10. The B's use the same polyphonic SID chip as the C64! Unfortunately the command POKE's are different. You have to convert audio written for the C64 first before you can play it on a B.
